Welcome to the Bhattarai Research Group
North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University!
The Bhattarai Research Group focuses on the development of advanced biomaterials designed to interface seamlessly with biological systems. Our interdisciplinary research supports a wide range of biomedical applications, including implantable devices, tissue engineering, regenerative medicine, and imaging-guided therapies.
At the core of our work is the creation of materials that not only integrate with the human body but also actively promote healing and functionality. Current research projects involve engineered hydrogels, 3D bioprinting, electrospinning, and the design of both local and systemic drug delivery systems. We are particularly interested in developing biomimetic scaffolds that enhance tissue vascularization, reduce inflammation, and accelerate wound healing.
We welcome collaboration, curiosity, and creativity. Whether you're a prospective student, researcher, or partner, we invite you to explore our work and connect with us as we push the boundaries of biomaterials innovation.
